A Centering Place

Worship.JPG

Not too long ago, I created a little worship space in one of our rooms. It’s a place where I can sit away from distractions and fine tune my heart, mind, and soul to be more completely focused on listening to the voice of God. Ultimately, we want to carry worship in our hearts 24/7/365. Yet, even Jesus took time to go to special places, locations where he could get away from the noise of the world and focus exclusively on the Father. My prayer for you is that you would be able to, if you haven’t already, claim that special worship space. Let this space be somewhere you spend less time talking and more time listening, a place where you agree to show up and give God your undivided attention. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Identify some small corner of your world where you can light a candle, read scripture, and bask in the holiness of our God and King. Come to your special spot saying, “Here I am, LORD. Speak, for your servant is listening.”*
